About the Role:
As a Watch Commander for Walmart’s Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), you will play a crucial director-level role in overseeing and guiding our dynamic team. You will lead a shift in identifying, assessing, and managing potential and actual risk events, ensuring swift and effective action. Your leadership will be pivotal in coordinating cross-functional teams, implementing security strategies, and maintaining a high level of operational excellence. What you’ll do:
Lead and Inspire: Direct and motivate a diverse, cross-functional team, fostering collaboration and excellence even with team members who do not directly report to you.
Strategic Risk Assessment: Continuously evaluate and analyze the global risk landscape to identify potential threats and opportunities for proactive action.
Prioritize and Focus: Strategically allocate attention and resources to critical risk items, ensuring timely and effective responses.
Coordinate Solutions: Drive the team’s efforts in developing and implementing solutions for risk-related issues, ensuring cohesive and effective problem-solving.
Engage and Inform: Maintain clear and impactful communication with senior leadership and key partners, providing timely updates and insights on risk developments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven GSOC Experience: Demonstrated experience in leading or working within a Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) or a similar complex, highly dynamic environment.
Risk Management Expertise: Solid background in risk assessment and developing effective risk mitigation strategies.
Relevant Academic Credentials: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Security Management, Safety, Emergency Management, Risk Management, or a related field pertinent to global retail operations.
International Experience: Hands-on experience with security, safety, or risk management in international markets, showcasing the ability to navigate diverse and complex global environments.
Foreign Language Skills: Proficiency in key foreign languages relevant to Walmart, such as Chinese (Mandarin), French, Spanish, etc.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Law, Risk Management, or related field and 5 years’ experience in security, emergency management, risk management, law enforcement, fire service, or related area OR 7 years’ experience in security, emergency management, risk management, law enforcement, fire service, or related area. 1 year’s supervisory experience.Outlined below are the optional preferred qualifications for this position.
