JOB DESCRIPTION

The Opportunity

We are currently on the lookout for an Intern – Project Management to join our Global Infrastructure Operations (GIO) team. As part of the GIO team based in Sri Lanka, you will support initiatives executed across multiple platform teams while collaborating with global stakeholders.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in managing and coordinating projects across diverse technical domains. You will learn industry-standard project management methodologies and tools, work closely with experienced professionals in a dynamic, global environment, and develop essential skills in planning, communication, and stakeholder engagement. The internship also includes mentorship and practical exposure, providing a strong foundation for a future career in project management or IT operations. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates looking to build experience at the intersection of project management and global infrastructure operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the coordination of Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives)
  • Supporting Project Managers and Product Owners in backlog tracking and sprint management using Jira
  • Maintaining and updating project documentation including sprint reports, risk logs, and action items
  • Generating and analyzing project reports and dashboards to track progress and metrics
  • Performing regular follow-ups with team members to ensure task completion and alignment with sprint goals
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams (development, QA, product, design) to keep work moving forward

Requirements:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science or IT-related field
  • A basic understanding of project management principles and Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • An interest in developing a career in project or product management
