Summary:

Contributes clinical knowledge and value analysis to support supply chain activities and to optimize clinical product selection, evaluation, use and implementation.

Responsibilities:

Serves as a liaison between department, internal customers, and vendors to communicate and resolve issues, including product conversions, inventory control practices, contract management, and vendor support.Analyzes product data from a variety of sources and develops a classification schema. Develops rules to ensure the accurate classification and cross-referencing of products used.Reconciles case billing within epic, triggers charges and posts logs in accordance with hospital procedures.Serves as an initial point of contact regarding inventory, invoice, and vendor inquiries. Resolves issues within scope of authority or escalates issues to appropriate resourceTroubleshoots and oversees the repair and maintenance of equipment and instrumentation.Develops, implements, and monitors a value analysis process to ensure the appropriate and efficient use of clinical products and to identify cost-savings and quality improvement opportunities. Collaborates on clinical product evaluation and selection processes. Solicits the input of medical staff and clinical leaders to achieve customer satisfaction with product selection and use.
