The mission of Arch Mortgage Data, Reporting and Insights team is to unlock the power of data through insightful reporting and analytics, empowering stakeholders to confidently make data-driven decisions. The team strives to deliver accurate, timely, and actionable insights which drive business growth and success while continuously innovating and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in reporting and data analytics.

  • Collect, clean, and prepare data for analysis (e.g., aggregating data, creating new variables, normalizing data, splitting data into training and testing sets, etc.). Will need to be able to source data from databases, APIs, web sites, surveys, and third-party providers.
  • Prepare standard reports in a timely manner for stakeholders. Ensure the data is complete and accurate and provide clear analysis.
  • Build, optimize, and maintain data pipelines, ensuring data integrity, and enabling data availability for analysis.
  • Develop data models, custom scripts, and specialized tools/applications to enhance data processing and analysis capabilities.
  • Conduct advanced statistical analyses (such as regression testing) and trend evaluations to derive actionable business insights.
  • Act as subject matter expert in one or more business domains. Partner with stakeholders to develop tailored data-driven insights.
  • Create visualizations that tell a clear and compelling story, highlighting key insights and making complex data more understandable to stakeholders.
  • Use of version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage changes to analysis scripts and documentation, ensuring that updates are tracked, and previous versions can be retrieved if necessary.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • High proficiency in programming with analytical tools/languages (i.e. SQL, Python, SAS)
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms (i.e. Azure, AWS, GCP) and technologies (e.g., Databricks, ADF)
  • Proficient with BI and Data Visualization tools (i.e. Power BI)
  • Broad analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of database management systems (i.e., architecture, data storage, security)
  • Ability to connect business processes and procedures to day-to-day activities.
  • Work under tight schedules and prioritize multiple work assignments. Proven track record of working independently.
  • Vast interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience with collaboration and productivity tools like Confluence, Asana, and Microsoft Teams.

Education & Experience:

Required knowledge and skills would typically be acquired through a Bachelor’s degree and three years or more of experience. Course of study in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Data Science or related degrees required. Four years of related experience can be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
