Job Description

Performs all functions of inbound receiving related to receiving, inspecting, logging in and placement to storage areas and carts of all product delivered.

General Duties: 

  • Operate powered pallet jacks, forklifts and stock pickers in accordance with all health and safety requirements 
  • Identify any pallets that need to be restacked, lower them and restack them 
  • Ensure putaway pallets are thoroughly wrapped 
  • Frequently varied tasks based on the direction of the Assistant Team Leaders and/or Team Leaders 
  • Perform all duties in accordance with Good Organic Standards and Whole Foods Market policy 
  • Participate in cleaning including removing and properly disposing of all refuse, straps and broken pallets 
  • Match bills of lading to purchase orders, timely put orders away, especially temperature sensitive products
  • Inspect arriving product to make sure it meets Whole Foods Market quality standards and trucks are sanitary and within temperature                                                                                                                       Document lot numbers of ingredients and generate the lot codes on the pallets for production to utilize
  • Restack product as necessary so pallet will fit properly in warehouse rack 
  • Operate dock plates, dock locks, and warehouse loading bay doors 
  • Use voice and sticker-based orders to pull and palletize store and outside supplier orders 
  • Work in an accurate and efficient way 
  • Build pallets in a way that will not damage product 
  • Load trucks and record what is being loaded in the warehouse management system 

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Able to work in temperatures ranging from -10 degrees Fahrenheit to 100 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Ability to accurately document all required logs and complete all documentation as pertains to food safety, FSMA, HACCP and any other documentation as required
  • WFM forklift experience or a minimum of one year of verifiable forklift experience required  
  • Ability to lift up 75 lbs.
  • Excellent work ethic and attendance record 
  • Exceptional attention to detail 
  • Able to work with a variety of people including drivers 
  • Interested in working in an environment that stresses accountability  
  • Self-motivated, positive attitude, ability to work as a team 
  • Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as required.

The wage range for this position is $18.50 - $31.08 Hourly, commensurate with experience. Whole Foods Market offers “Whole Benefits".
