How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The National Helium Director has ownership of the US Helium supply chain, the largest in the world, and the Hydrogen tube trailer supply chain. The position will coordinate the timely placement of Helium ISOs from port to use point. This role has ownership of the Helium and Hydrogen tube trailer scheduling center that monitors, forecasts usage rates, and plans the logistics to meet Airgas plant and customer demands. The job holder will support Airgas safety culture and effectively communicate across the numerous levels of the organization to provide seamless delivery of our products.
  • Work closely with ALHAI, N American Helium team, for the proper and timely placement of domestic and imported ISO containers to 15 Airgas transfills, including Canada.

  • Oversight of the National Scheduling Center: forecasting, scheduling, and the logistics of Helium and Hydrogen tube trailers across the entire Airgas footprint

  • Coordinate with the 14 Airgas transfills to optimize product losses, meet customer demands, and lead the business in frequent allocation periods of supply shortages

  • Oversight of the repair/maintenance and requalification of 1000+ tube trailers in the fleet

  • Effectively communicate across our company to the production, distribution and sales departments as well as our drivers, terminal managers and field service technicians 

  • Technical support for the transfill network, ISO containers, and tube trailers

  • Balancing and meeting take or pay requirements with multiple suppliers
