Job Description:
Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Senior Mechanic, Lead Mechanic or Senior Lead Mechanic located at our Montgomery County Yardwaste facility in Dickerson, MD. This position performs installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment used for a variety of environmental projects.Estimated Pay Range:
Senior Mechanic - $53,131.16 – $73,055.88
Lead Mechanic - $58,444.70 - $80,361.47
Sr Lead Mechanic - $64,289.46 - $88,397.83

Minimum Requirements:
Graduation from a standard high school or possession of GED equivalency certificate plus 5-8 years of experience performing installation, repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment. Formal schooling from an accredited vocational school with a major in a related field may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for up to three years of the required experience. Must have a valid driver's license with less than 5 points. Appointment to some sites may require Commercial Driver’s License with specific endorsements.
Preferred experience:
Experience working in heavy equipment repair, diesel equipment repair, environmental processing equipment, windrow turners, wheel loaders, tractors and forklifts.
