Job Description Summary

The Accounting Support role: Performs core accounting or AP/AR support work. This role processes by verifying three‑way matches and coding invoices so payments are authorized and accurate, and by posting remittances to open invoices so Accounts Receivable balances remain current. Research basic discrepancies using source documents to resolve small issues without escalation, and maintains vendor and customer master data—addresses, tax forms, and banking details—so records stay accurate. Generates aging and exception lists from standard reports and supports month‑end close by closing batches and printing control reports, while responding to routine inquiries with approved guidance so internal clients receive timely information.

What you’ll do

  • You will report to the Supervisor: Accounting
  • Process vendor invoices by verifying three‑way matches and coding so that payments are authorized and accurate.
  • Apply customer cash by posting remittances to open invoices so that Accounts Receivable balances are current.
  • Research basic discrepancies by checking source documents so that small issues are resolved without escalation.
  • Maintain vendor and customer files by updating addresses, tax forms, and banking details so that master data stays current.
  • Prepare aging or exception lists by running standard reports so that supervisors can prioritize follow‑ups
  • Support month‑end tasks by closing batches and printing control reports so that accountants have complete files.
  • Respond to routine inquiries by using approved responses so that internal clients receive timely information.

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in Accounts Payable
  • Creditors experience
  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (essential)
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Experience working with Oracle or SAP ERP systems
  • Banking and Internet Banking experience
