The Role
As the Director, SAP FICO, you will partner closely with Finance, business leaders, and subject‑matter experts to define an ERP FICO strategy that aligns with Xylem’s enterprise and IT priorities. You will optimize and simplify the ERP ecosystem to improve performance, reduce costs, and increase organizational agility. You will own and manage the roadmap for enhancing the SAP Record‑to‑Report (RTR) footprint, ensuring senior leadership remains informed and aligned on ERP initiatives. In addition, you will apply enterprise architecture principles to harmonize the SAP FICO landscape with Xylem’s broader information systems and contribute to the ongoing evolution of the company’s enterprise architecture framework.
Core Responsibilities
Partner with Finance leaders, business leaders, and internal/external SMEs to define and align the ERP FICO strategy with Xylem’s enterprise and IT objectives.
Drive continuous improvement of the ERP ecosystem to enhance performance, reduce costs, and support the evolving needs of the Finance organization.
Develop and manage a roadmap to expand, streamline, or sustain the SAP RTR footprint through consolidation, replacement, upgrades, and other strategic actions—securing leadership alignment and communicating ongoing progress across ERP initiatives.
Apply established development methodologies and enterprise architecture standards to ensure SAP FICO architecture harmonizes with Xylem’s information systems strategy and standards.
Serve as a key contributor to Xylem’s enterprise architecture and information framework, collaborating across IT service delivery teams.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field
10+ years of SAP FICO experience
5+ years of full lifecycle implementation experience
5+ years of experience with S/4HANA
Demonstrated leadership in cross‑functional initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SAP Record‑to‑Report (RTR) business processes
Experience with S/4HANA services
Hands‑on experience with customer projects using Project Systems
