As a Project Manager for MxU, you are responsible for successfully delivering outside and inside plant fiber optic work for multi-tenant or multi-residential As a Project Manager for MxU, you will deliver outside and inside plant fiber optic projects for multi-tenant or multi-residential buildings, ensuring completion on time and within budget. You will work independently to implement project plans, maintain safety and quality standards, and oversee project teams, contractors, and tradespeople.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead health, safety, and environmental protection initiatives, ensuring compliance with Ledcor standards and applicable regulations.
  • Create and manage the Project Quality Program to ensure materials and work meet specifications.
  • Establish and maintain project start-up systems, including filing, billing, cost accounting, and directories.
  • Develop and revise preliminary schedules, considering crew availability, production, permits, and more.
  • Define project milestones and deliverables; create and update schedules throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor schedules through meetings, short-term planning, and updates via tools like QuickBase, SharePoint, JIRA, or Excel.
  • Communicate schedule deviations and risks to the project team.
  • Provide schedule forecasts and run scenarios/models to assess impacts and options.
  • Identify and manage opportunities and risks with the project team to optimize schedule and financial targets.
  • Facilitate project meetings with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project progression.
  • Track and report financial aspects, including forecasts and billings.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager or Coordinator
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, for managing large datasets and performing complex functions.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Power BI, QuickBase, SharePoint, JIRA, and MS Flow (an asset).
  • Knowledge of construction documents, specifications, practices, and scheduling systems.
  • Understanding of construction costs, budgets, and project scheduling.
  • Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related field (an asset).
  • Strong organizational, planning, and multitasking abilities.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
  • Ability to identify constructability issues and develop practical solutions.

Work Conditions:

  • This is a hybrid work position where you will be required to be in office multiple times a week

Compensation

$70, 400 – $96, 800

This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
