Major Responsibilities: Work with faculty to set up equipment for labs.
Prep labs as needed such as setting out equipment, models, assorted other supplies.
Prepare materials as needed for labs.
Breakdown labs and perform necessary cleanup of materials .
Work with instructors to maintain levels of supplies and up-to-date inventory of supplies. Maintain MSDS data sheets and follow OSHA guidelines for chemical storage.
Keep an orderly file of lab equipment.
Send in all warranty cards and keep all users' copy of warranty cards.
Set up a good preventive maintenance program on all lab equipment.
Properly dispose of bio hazardous waste.
Conducts all responsibilities within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), other applicable regulatory requirements, and professional standards
All other duties logically associated with this position may be assigned.
$15/hour
Opportunities for Tuition Fee Remission after one year of employment
Minimum Qualifications: Preferred Medical Lab background experience and post-secondary education
Proficient computer skills with accuracy. Knowledge of Excel required; other Microsoft applications preferred.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow directions.
Ability to work independently and in teams, with ability to keep information confidential.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community.
Ability to think critically, reason, and make sound judgments on how responsibilities are completed in compliance with college standards and guidelines
