Key Responsibilities:
Database Management:
Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Oracle database software.
Create, configure, and maintain databases for development, testing, and production environments.
Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required.

Database Migration:
Plan, design, and execute database migration projects, including cross-platform and cross-version migrations.
Perform pre-migration assessments, identify potential issues, and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
Utilize tools such as Oracle Data Pump, GoldenGate, and RMAN for efficient data transfer and synchronization.
Validate and test migrations to ensure data integrity and performance.

Oracle Data Guard:
Configure and maintain Oracle Data Guard environments for high availability, data protection, and disaster recovery.
Monitor and manage Data Guard configurations, ensuring smooth switchover and failover operations.
Test and validate Data Guard setups to ensure readiness for disaster recovery scenarios.
Performance Tuning and Optimization:
Perform performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries, database structures, and processes.
Analyze and resolve database performance issues, ensuring high levels of data availability and reliability.

Backup and Recovery with RMAN:
Develop, implement, and manage RMAN backup strategies, including full, incremental, and differential backups.
Perform regular backups and ensure successful completion of backup operations.
Implement and test RMAN-based recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and minimal downtime.
Maintain backup catalogs and manage backup retention policies.

Security Management:
Implement and maintain database security, including user account management, access control, and encryption.
Conduct regular security audits and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
Database Monitoring and Maintenance:
Monitor database health and automate routine maintenance tasks.
Use tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) to manage and monitor database environments.
Capacity Planning and Scalability:
Perform capacity planning to ensure database growth and scalability.
Plan and implement database changes to support application changes and growth.
