Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Final Assembly Supervisor 2 based out of our Sunnyvale, CA campus.

What You'll get to Do:

Northrop Grumman Marines Systems specializes in the development, manufacture assembly and testing of propulsion, and power generation systems for naval surface ships and submarines. The Final Assembly Supervisor 2 will supervise the factory hourly assembly mechanics, electricians and production support team in the assembly, test and shipment of high quality, low volume, large electro-mechanical fabricated structures with complex controls for the Marine Propulsion and Power Generation SBU. This position will also interface with Sr. Operations Leadership, a variety of engineering disciplines, and end customers for the products their team produces and delivers.

Additional responsibilities include ensuring all members of the team are adequately trained to accomplish assigned tasks efficiently and effectively and will lead the implementation of Lean Principles and Continuous improvement efforts in their assigned areas.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with minimum 9 years of relevant experience; Master's Degree with 7 years of experience; PhD with 4 years of experience (Note: 13 total years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).

  • 2+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Must have demonstrated Manufacturing Operations management experience managing critical production hardware (SQCDM).

  • Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Firm understanding of the fundamentals of MRP.

  • Demonstrated EVMS experience and be proficient at CAM functions.

  • Government contracting and fixed price production experience.

  • BA/BS degree.

  • US Naval experience in the operation or maintenance of Marine Machinery.

  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques.

Salary Range: $114,100.00 - $171,100.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
