This 400,000 –square foot, multi-specialty ambulatory center encompasses a Comprehensive Cancer and Women’s Health Center, 12 ambulatory surgery operating rooms and Multispecialty physician practices.

Scheduling Clerk – Pre-Surgical Testing – Center for Community Health – Full Time - Days

In this role, the Scheduling Clerk provides assistance in scheduling all appointment for Pre-Surgical and Medical Testing Patients as requested by the Practitioners. You will perform general clerical duties at the unit nursing station to assure the timely, efficient and accurate flow of patient information. Candidate identified will answer telephones, takes messages, relays call, refers messages to appropriate individuals. Make the promise of Putting Patients First a reality in the Pre-Surgical Testing Department.  Provide compassionate patient focus and superior customer service -keeping our fast-paced environments running smoothly. Welcome and direct visitors and hospital colleagues to appropriate areas. Cultivate a courteous and respectful demeanor while multitasking between people and responsibilities. 

This is a full-time 10AM - 6PM day shift position located across from NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital at the Center for Community Health.

Preferred Criteria

  • Two years of related experience

Required Criteria

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Computer literacy

  • Superior customer service and excellent communication skills
