The MSDV Staff Engineer is expected to be a key contributor in the development and support of ADI's Mixed Signal Design Verification methodologies. These will be deployed across ADI's diverse product developments.
The areas involved include:
  • Unified Digital/DMS/AMS testbench creation and generation
  • Unified Mixed-Signal MDV framework
  • In-house and 3rd party AMS simulation flows
  • Mixed-Signal Assertions and Checkers
  • Behavioral Modeling and Model Validation Methodologies
  • Netlisters
  • Mixed-Signal VIP development
  • Mixed-Signal emulation
  • Low power, power intent, modelling and verification
The successful candidate will work with ADI development teams to understand their MSDV challenges, propose solutions and where necessary invent them. They will also work with vendors to understand how their offerings may address these challenges. Mentorship and management of more junior MSDV engineers will also be required.
Position Requirements
  • BSEE required, MSEE preferred with strong fundamentals in IC circuit design of ADCs, DACs, RF Transceivers, Voltage Regulators etc.
  • Proven skills in analog IC design and behavioral modeling are required.
  • Proficiency with EDA tools and Design Verification methodologies for low-power, mixed-signal ICs including schematic capture, layout, simulation, familiarity with low-power intent (CPF/UPF/IEEE-1801) and A/MS behavioral modeling is highly desirable.
  • Exposure to CAD tool development, experience in software programming (C++, Perl, Python) and behavioral modeling (SystemVerilog RNM, Verilog-AMS, Verilog-A) is a plus.
  • Should be able to communicate technical details very effectively with both customers (circuit designers) and peers.
