The NXP business line "Secure Connected Edge" designs leading-edge devices for intelligent mobile solutions that safely connect consumers and their technology to the world around them.

The Digital Validation Team ensures the functionality and performance of these devices both pre- and post-silicon. To increase coverage and efficiency, we continuously automate testing and data analysis processes. In this area of device automation and data analysis, we are looking for a student who is passionate about automation, data analytics, machine learning, AI, scripting, object-oriented software development, web applications, and communication protocols—all in the context of cutting-edge semiconductor development.

As a Working Student (f/m/d), you will support a team of experienced engineers in developing tools and applications that contribute to the silicon validation process.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Support the development and maintenance of automation solutions for validation activities
  • Contribute to software tools for data collection, processing, and analysis
  • Work on robotics and image-processing solutions for automated chip handling
  • Assist in programming, testing, and optimizing robotic systems and workflows
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and gain hands-on experience in semiconductor development

Your Profile

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related field
  • Interest in robotics, automation, and image processing
  • Experience with at least one object-oriented programming language (Java, C++, C#, ...)
  • Experience with at least one modern scripting language (Python, Groovy, ...)
  • Basic knowledge of web and database technologies and protocols
  • Experience with robotics frameworks, computer vision, or machine learning is a plus
  • Basic understanding of SoC (System-on-Chip) architectures is advantageous
