THE ROLE: Director, AI Enablement & Strategy
This new Director, AI Enablement & Strategy role within Legal & Business Affairs (L&BA) is an operational, advisory, and AI-focused position that will serve as the primary liaison to A+E Factual Studios to accelerate the responsible development and use of Generative AI (GenAI) in content creation. The Director will work closely with creative, development, and production teams to interpret and apply A+E’s GenAI Standards for Content Creation and Responsibilities when using GenAI. The role supports day-to-day decision-making involving GenAI tools, creative ideation, rights issues, likeness use, documentation, and transparency disclosures—ensuring that A+E Factual Studio’s use of AI is consistent with A+E’s legal obligations and ethical and brand standards.
Beyond its core Factual Studios support mission, the role also contributes to enterprise-wide GenAI governance, helping to align GenAI deployment with A+E’s values and policies across legal, creative, and technology functions. The Director will support the operationalization of GenAI policies across teams, coordinate with Technology and Legal on the review and rollout of internal AI tools, and stay current on regulatory, contractual, and IP implications of emerging case law as it applies to AI use cases. The role may, at times, require tactical engagement—such as reviewing AI outputs or prompt design, evaluating tool risk, or helping implement AI-powered legal workflows. Success in this role requires strong AI fluency, practical risk awareness, change management skills, and cross-functional coordination.
The Director will also support escalation and incident‑response processes for AI misuse, unauthorized AI-generated content, or reputational risk events, ensuring clear pathways for review, mitigation, and documentation.
