The Position 
This position is intended for a candidate seeking growth opportunity in a fast paced and dynamic business unit, E&S Casualty. Excess & Surplus Lines, or E&S, is a specialized market which focuses on unique and challenging risks which are not covered by standard market insurance companies. The Associate also will be part of the company’s Early Career Program. The Early Career Program Underwriting Track is a one-year training program geared towards ambitious college graduates looking to launch a high-performing career in underwriting with a Fortune 500, world-wide insurance leader. During the one-year program, associates receive specialized training and education on how insurance carriers function, the marketplace, and Arch’s various roles in the insurance market.
Job Responsibilities 
As the Associate develops skill and gains experience, on-the-job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
•    Marketing Arch products and services to wholesale customers. Includes travel and client entertainment. 

•    Underwriting and pricing products, including:
•    Exposure analysis
•    Claims/Loss analysis 
•    Policy contract review and rating
Desired Skills
•    Highly proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook
•    Exemplary oral and written communication skills; analytical, with keen ability to think through issues; solid understanding of financial statements; proactive; able to organize and prioritize to meet multiple demands and commitments; strong work ethic; team player; exhibits leadership potential.
Required Education/Experience 
•    Four-year degree desired, preferably in economics, business, finance, or risk management.

For individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below, the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.

$70,000 - $75,000/year

• Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
