At F5, we strive to bring a better digital world to life. Our teams empower organizations across the globe to create, secure, and run applications that enhance how we experience our evolving digital world. We are passionate about cybersecurity, from protecting consumers from fraud to enabling companies to focus on innovation.

Everything we do centers around people. That means we obsess over how to make the lives of our customers, and their customers, better. And it means we prioritize a diverse F5 community where each individual can thrive.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Strategic, Industry & Solutions Marketing to provide senior ownership for F5’s most critical market-facing initiatives across BIG-IP, NGINX, and Distributed Cloud Services. This role is pivotal in ensuring F5 translates complex technologies into clear, differentiated customer and industry value—while enabling executive-level, solution-oriented conversations with customers, partners, and the field.

This leader will operate at the intersection of strategy, industry relevance, solution narratives, and operational execution, working closely with the Chief Marketing Officer, Sales Leadership, Product Marketing, Engineering, and Marketing teams. The role is designed to drive alignment across a growing portfolio and ensure high-impact initiatives land with clarity, consistency, and measurable outcomes—without duplicating functional ownership.

The VP will partner across the organization to shape unified messaging, elevate product-level content into solution and industry narratives, and provide operational rigor for executive-sponsored initiatives. This includes overseeing marketing operations for key initiatives, supporting quarterly business reviews, coordinating cross-functional delivery, and ensuring priorities sponsored by the CMO, CRO, or CEO are executed effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Operations

  • Oversee and streamline marketing operations for executive-sponsored initiatives, acting as a primary liaison between Marketing and cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain alignment across the CMO office, ensuring clarity of ownership, milestones, and timely delivery of commitments.
  • Support executive operating cadence, including quarterly business reviews and leadership updates.

AI Marketing Tools

  • Work with each CMO function to drive adoption of AI productivity tools
  • Produce quarterly report of AI tool adoption within Marketing

Strategic Marketing

  • Partner closely with the Chief Marketing Officer to develop and reinforce a unified internal and external narrative.
  • Translate company strategy and customer successes into clear executive-level messaging and strategic POVs.
  • Own select, high-impact strategic initiatives that cut across Marketing functions and require senior orchestration.

Industry Marketing

  • Strengthen F5’s relevance and credibility across priority industry verticals.
  • Partner with Product Marketing Managers and Field teams to define comprehensive industry solution narratives.
  • Ensure industry messaging resonates with C-suite audiences and supports enterprise and regulated-market growth.

Solutions Marketing

  • Elevate product-level messaging into solution-focused storytelling tied to customer outcomes and delivery models.
  • Ensure solution narratives reflect F5’s networking, application, and distributed cloud capabilities in a cohesive way.
  • Enable Sales and partners with executive-ready solution positioning.

AI Data Delivery Mission

  • Lead and monitor the AI Data Delivery initiative, an executive-reviewed priority sponsored by the CEO.
  • Partner with Sales to track AI-related revenue streams and ensure clear visibility into progress and impact.
  • Provide narrative clarity and execution discipline for this mission across internal and external audiences.

What Success Looks Like

  • Clear tracking and measurement of F5’s most important marketing initiatives
  • Stronger industry and executive-level conversations enabled through credible solution narratives
  • Improved alignment across Marketing functions without adding unnecessary layers
  • Executive confidence that priorities sponsored by the CMO, CRO, or CEO will land effectively

The ideal candidate brings senior-level marketing leadership experience, a strong strategic mindset, and a proven ability to influence across a matrixed organization. They are comfortable operating in ambiguity, excel at connecting strategy to execution, and are known for driving leverage—not empire-building. This is a high-visibility role requiring executive presence, operational discipline, and the ability to translate complexity into clarity.
