Monitor compliance of contractors, vendors, and third-party service providers with labor laws. Verify contractor licenses, registrations, and statutory payment records. Conduct periodic audits of contractor compliance with wage payments, working conditions, and safety standards.

 

Risk Assessment and Audit

 

Conduct regular internal audits to identify compliance gaps and potential risks. Prepare audit reports with findings and recommendations for corrective actions. Implement remedial measures and track resolution of compliance issues.

Training and Advisory

 

Provide training to HR teams, managers, and employees on labor law compliance requirements and updates. Serve as the subject matter expert on labor compliance matters, offering guidance on complex situations. Create awareness programs on employee rights and company obligations.

 

Required Qualifications

 

Education: Bachelor's Degree with Specialization in Human Resources, Labor Laws, or related field. Post-graduate qualification in Labor Laws or HR Management is preferred.

 

Experience: 3-5 years of experience in labor law compliance, preferably within corporate HR, consulting firms, or facilities management organizations. Experience handling multi-state compliance is highly valued.

Technical Knowledge:

 

Thorough understanding of central and state labor laws in India

Familiarity with recent labor code consolidations and their implications

Knowledge of ESI, EPF, and other social security schemes

Understanding of contract labor regulations and compliance requirements

 

 

Skills:

 

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail

Excellent documentation and record-keeping abilities

Effective communication skills for liaising with regulatory authorities

Ability to interpret complex legal language and translate into actionable policies

Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel for tracking and reporting

Problem-solving mindset with ability to navigate regulatory complexities

Working Conditions

 

This position is based in Hyderabad, with occasional travel to other locations for compliance audits and inspections. Standard office hours apply, with flexibility required during audit periods or regulatory filing deadlines.
