Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced, innovative, and certified Risk Manager to lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive risk management process for large-scale industrial battery storage projects. This role will be instrumental in establishing global risk management standards, leading risk management workshops for high-risk projects, and driving creative solutions to complex challenges. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, a passion for innovation, and a proven track record in risk management within project-driven industries. Experience in the power plant or wind turbine sectors is a significant advantage.

 Key Responsibilities:
 Risk Management Process Development:
•Lead the design, development, and implementation of a robust risk management framework tailored to the execution of large-scale battery storage projects.
•Develop global standards and best practices for risk management across all projects, ensuring consistency and effectiveness.
•Innovate and create new approaches to risk management, leveraging the latest tools and methodologies to stay ahead of industry trends.
•Take ownership of the full lifecycle of risk management initiatives, from ideation to execution, ensuring that all developments are successfully implemented and continuously improved.
Risk Assessment and Analysis:
•Conduct thorough risk assessments across all project phases, identifying and quantifying risks related to project scope, budget, timelines, and quality.
•Develop and maintain a risk register, ensuring regular updates and communication of risk status to key stakeholders.
•Lead risk management workshops for high-risk projects, facilitating the identification and mitigation of critical risks.
Project Management Support:
•Collaborate with project managers and teams to integrate risk management into overall project planning and execution.
•Provide expert guidance on risk-related decision-making, ensuring alignment with project objectives and stakeholder expectations.
•Drive creative problem-solving and innovative solutions to complex project risks, while ensuring these solutions are fully realized.
Training and Development:
•Develop and deliver training programs on risk management processes and tools for project teams and stakeholders.
•Mentor and coach project teams in effective risk management practices to build organizational capability.
Reporting and Documentation:
•Prepare detailed risk reports and presentations for project leadership and external stakeholders, outlining identified risks, mitigation plans, and residual risk levels.
•Document lessons learned from project risk management activities to enhance future project planning and execution.
Stakeholder Engagement:
•Act as the primary point of contact for all risk management activities within the organization.
•Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies, to ensure effective risk management practices.
 
Qualifications:
 
Education:
•Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
•Professional certification in risk management (e.g., PMI-RMP, CRMP, etc.) is required.
Experience:
•Minimum of 7 years of experience in risk management within project-driven industries.
•Demonstrated experience in managing risks for large-scale industrial projects, preferably in the energy sector.
•Experience in power plant or wind turbine projects is highly desirable.
Skills:
•Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and assess complex risks.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
•Proficiency in risk management software and tools.
•Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
•Ability to lead workshops and training sessions with diverse project teams.
