The Associate Account Manager, Partner Relationships role is focused on supporting and growing new and existing business within Medcan’s Indirect Channel (brokers, advisors, consultants). This position supports the day-to-day activities of the Indirect Channel New Business Account Executive and Indirect Account Managers, helping to deliver a high-quality partner and client experience while executing account-specific strategies across multiple enterprise relationships.
 

The Associate Account Manager builds and maintains strong, consultative relationships with advisors and corporate clients, supports complex sales cycles, and helps identify opportunities to expand Medcan’s executive and all-employee health and wellness offerings. Relevant knowledge of benefits, wellness, or healthcare services, strong relationship management capabilities, and a proactive, growth-oriented mindset are fundamental to success in this role. This role is based in Toronto (hybrid) and reports to the Director, Enterprise Accounts.

What You'll Do

  • Support the Indirect Channel New Business Account Executive and Indirect Account Managers with day-to-day account and opportunity management activities across the indirect channel.
  • Prepare for, coordinate, and participate in partner and client meetings, including stewardship reviews, renewal discussions, and new business conversations.
  • Proactively communicate the value proposition of Medcan’s services in ways that are meaningful and relevant to partners and clients.
  • Identify, support, and advance cross-sell and up-sell opportunities during ongoing partner and client interactions, including the introduction of new and enhanced offerings.
  • Support growth opportunity pipelines, including deal coordination, documentation, and internal follow-up.
  • Assist with planning, tracking, and reporting on weekly, monthly, and quarterly activities and targets in partnership with the broader account team.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support business growth, retention, and timely resolution of client and partner needs.
  • Support the preparation and delivery of account renewals, including usage reports, eligibility updates, pricing inputs, and presentation materials.
  • Establish and nurture strong working relationships with advisors, consultants, and corporate stakeholders to identify client needs and present appropriate solutions from Medcan’s portfolio.
  • Expand relationships across client organizations and advisor networks to develop a broader understanding of business priorities.
  • Share best practices, partner insights, and process improvements with team members across the department.
  • Proactively communicate market insights related to trends, competitive activity, and partner and client experience.
  • Support networking, events, and partner engagement activities to strengthen market presence and relationships.

What You'll Need

  • 3–5 years of experience in B2B and B2B2C sales, account management, client services, or sales support within a benefits, wellness, healthcare, or professional services environment.
  • Experience supporting or working within a broker/advisor or indirect sales channel is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated customer focus with the ability to support consultative sales conversations and solution positioning.
  • Strong relationship management skills with the ability to engage multiple stakeholder and buyer profiles.
  • Energetic, positive, and goal-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and urgency.
  • Exceptionally strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented, with comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Polished and professional client presence, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, science, or a related field preferred.
  • Excellent command of English (verbal and written); French is considered an asset.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.

This is a full-time hybrid role scheduled during business hours Monday through Friday.

Position Pay Range

Pay range based on projected On-Target Earnings for year one of employment.

The compensation range provided in this posting reflects a projected estimate for the first year of employment and includes base salary plus anticipated variable commission earnings. Actual commission will vary based on individual performance, team targets, and business conditions. Over time, commission earnings may grow as the employee gains experience, builds client relationships, and achieves performance milestones. This projection is not a guarantee of future earnings and should be viewed as an illustrative example based on current compensation models.​
