Job Description Summary

Accountable to the Global IT Audit Director/ TA Sr. Director IT Audit to provision information technology (IT) audit services for Transamerica (Enterprise Technology), including ongoing IT risk areas, issues, initiatives, development of the annual IT risk assessment and plan, and oversight and delivery of audits, on time and to quality standards. Manages these activities and challenges the adequacy and effectiveness of programs to drive improvement. Participates and supports IT audit relationship with Audit Directors, IT leadership and Risk leadership, as directed by the Global IT Audit Director/ TA Sr. Director IT Audit Oversee IT auditors in charge and staff.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the development and delivery of IT audit services, for Transamerica Enterprise Technology.

  • Oversee IT auditors in charge and staff; evaluate performance and provide development opportunities.

  • Co-Lead the annual IT risk assessment and resulting IT audit plan.

  • Lead multiple and concurrent audits/project monitoring assignments in accordance with approved audit plans and global internal audit (IA) methodology standards, on time and within budget.

  • Communicate audit progress and results to management; prepare reports that detail the risk/impact results of audit work and include improvement recommendations.

  • Oversee finalization of audit reports provided by IT audit managers and staff.

  • Consult with management on IT risk and control matters.

  • Maintain relationships with IT leadership, Risk Management, and external auditors and associated regulators.

  • Provide staff training and coaching on audit principles, technical content, audit execution and communication with IT clients.

  • Provide real-time support and challenge IT risk/control matters; ensure the audit function is up-to-date on client activities, issues and concerns.

  • Recommend changes to procedures, audit direction and strategy as needed to increase audit efficiency, quality and value to the business.

  • Support IT and Security management with external audit related issues.


Qualifications

  • Lead multiple and concurrent audits/project monitoring assignments in accordance with approved audit plans and global internal audit (IA) methodology standards, on time and within budget.

  • Represent IT Audit at meetings with key steering committees, boards and external agencies; support delivery of reports to these committees, including quarterly Supervisory Board Audit Committee papers.

  • Provide real-time support and challenge IT risk/control matters; ensure the audit function is up-to-date on client activities, issues and concerns.

  • Recommend changes to procedures, audit direction and strategy as needed to increase audit efficiency, quality and value to the business.

  • Support IT and Security management with external audit related issues.


Working Conditions

  • Hybrid (Tuesday - Thursday)

  • Moderate Travel 10 to 25%
