Your Role

  • Work as part of an interdisciplinary expert project team to investigate challenging questions related to the lifetime stability of coatings using a broad range of analytical methods
  • Support the execution of experimental test series on coating lifetime to study the complex relationships between manufacturing processes, cleanliness, and cleaning procedures
  • Conduct tests, document, analyze and present test results
  • Contribute to the preparation and refinement of test plans

Your Profile

  • Current enrollment in a scientific or engineering degree program and willingness to complete a full-time internship for 6 months
  • Strong understanding of complex technical systems, combined with excellent conceptual and analytical skills
  • Hands-on experience with analytical laboratory methods, e.g. optical microscopy, (FIB-)SEM, XPS, TOF-SIMS, AFM, STM, TEM, XRD, etc.
  • Experience in data management as well as programming skills and knowledge in machine learning are an advantage
  • Confident use of MS Office applications
  • Independent, thorough, and collaborative way of working
  • Very good German skills and good English skills, both spoken and written
