Job Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate, plan, manage, and contribute to the software and firmware design in the cardiac rhythm management and/or neurostimulation markets.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
1. Manages the engineering activities on the assigned program(s) to comply with cost, schedule, and technical requirements and establishes engineering practices to meet program commitments within an ISO 13485 development system.
2. Review all technical changes. Coordinates the analysis of the impact of technical changes to schedule/budget and ensures implementation and consistent design integrity.
3. Includes managing and overseeing ongoing software and firmware development (both internally and at external development partners), and hands-on software development. Projects will run through the full development life cycle including product definition, specification, development, testing, and post-release support.
4. Develop business strategies, and financial analysis and prepare leadership to ensure programs achieve objectives.
5. Effectively communicate with customers, direct supervisors, clinicians, and higher-level corporate management on project development.
6. Manages Associates and resources to achieve customer’s expectations and goals.
Job Requirements
Bachelor´s degree in a technical field.
Managing in Software Engineering, at least 10 years of experience in Software development and/or management.
- Demonstrated technical competence.
- Ability to develop product specifications.
- Demonstrated ability to work in and foster a team-based environment including project team members, consultants, and contractors.
- Strong project management skills.
- A self-motivated leader who can effectively motivate peers and subordinates to achieve overall project and company objectives.
- Extensive experience in designing and managing complex software development systems.
- Demonstrated experience in managing projects within schedule and budgetary requirements desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) are required.
