Join us as a Mailroom Officer

  • This is an opportunity to make a positive impact to our customers and colleagues, as you deliver successful customer and business outcomes by processing and distributing both internal and external mail in a timely and accurate manner
  • You’ll be actively participating in initiatives to improve customer service, processes and procedures as we constantly look to improve our service
  • We're offering this role for a period of six months, it's a part-time role and you'll be required to work 5 days a week, preferably 9am to 2pm

What you'll do

In this key role, you’ll be providing crucial support to customers and colleagues across the whole business. You’ll be responding to and investigating queries, providing support on business processes, policies and procedures and developing an understanding of customer and business needs in order to suggest improvements and increase efficiency.

You’ll also be:

  • Identifying barriers to performance and coordinating improvements to enhance our efficiency
  • Keeping accurate records of day to day operations and logging incidents
  • Reviewing manual or ineffective processes which could be automated or enhanced
  • Maintaining a focus on improving our customer service and experiences by building and maintaining exceptional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and 3rd party suppliers

The skills you'll need

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have excellent planning and organisational skills, along with high attention to detail. You’ll perform well under pressure, and be confident in your ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining high levels of accuracy throughout. You'll also have a high level of integrity and responsibility, be reliable and conscientious and motivated when working unsupervised . Experience of working in an office environment would be an advantage.

You’ll also need:

  • The ability to convey information in a simple and understandable way
  • Good customer service skills
  • To be able to learn new IT systems quickly and use them accurately
  • Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and Word
