Position Summary...
The Environmental Management System (EMS) Manager is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the organization’s EMS across operations. This role ensures environmental controls are effectively monitored, tested, and documented to meet regulatory requirements, internal standards, and corporate goals.

The selected hire will work from our beautiful new home office in Bentonville, AR.https://corporate.walmart.com/news/2025/01/17/the-future-of-better-begins-here-welcome-to-walmarts-new-home-officeThe EMS Manager will develop, maintain, and update EMS documentation, including policies, procedures, manuals, and records in alignment with ISO 14001 or equivalent standards. They will collaborate with subject matter experts to plan and execute environmental assessments, including third-party audits, and ensure that corrective action plans are developed and tracked for any findings.
Key responsibilities:
- Program documentation and governance.
- Maintain EMS documentation and ensure alignment with ISO 14001 and internal compliance frameworks.
- Environmental assessments and audit coordination.
- Lead execution of internal and third-party audits (e.g., Ecolab), including planning, response tracking, and closure.
- Data management and reporting.
- Oversee environmental data systems, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely reporting to stakeholders and regulators.
What you’ll bring….
- Subject matter expertise in Environmental Health & Safety.
- ISO 14001 experience strongly desired.
- Significant project or information systems management experience.
- A risk management-related mindset that balances business needs and urgency when developing systems.
- Strong communication skills and are effective at simplifying technical issues.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams.
- A degree in an EHS related field or have equivalent regulatory experience as an EHS inspector.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
