As a Commercial Development Rep, you'll monitor and evaluate the success of our natural gas gathering, processing and transportation programs and strategy and report on trends and patterns. You will collaborate with business partners to negotiate and implement sophisticated agreements that help us meet our business objectives. The ability to cultivate and nurture a network across functions, understand how changes in the marketplace affect business and influence others to gain support and dedication are keys to success!

For a Commercial Development Rep Sr.

Responsibilities/Expectations:

  • Collaborates to create and customize contracts and develop solutions that are mutually beneficial to Williams and the customer

  • Evaluates cost/rate of return in combination with other deal terms; provides feedback on development of economic analysis of commercial opportunities

  • Understands and communicates Williams market perspectives to customers; proactively interacts with customers' leadership to build and maintain relationships

  • Completes complex natural gas gathering, processing, transportation, natural gas liquids (NGL) fractionation, and other regulated pipeline commercial negotiations to expand existing accounts and our asset footprint

  • Assists customers in improving and/or growing their business on the pipeline in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations

  • Contacts current and/or prospective customers proactively with calls to solve problems, address commercial issues, and/or promote services

  • Acquires and applies a proven understanding of regulatory environment and agencies such as the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and the North American Energy Standards Board (NAESB), in order to ensure service compliance

  • May lead training and mentor others

  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Years of Experience:

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, finance, economics or relevant field and minimum ten (10) years’ energy industry experience

  • Preferred: MBA

Other Requirements:

  • Preferred: Previous commercial experience

  • Preferred: Familiarity of deep-water oil and gas infrastructure, including floating production systems and offshore oil/gas production

  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications

  • Ability to understand contract details and resulting business impacts

  • Demonstrates understanding of energy market fundamentals and economics, including commodity pricing, basin market fundamentals and competitor strategies and actions

  • Understands all components of a deal structure and can evaluate risk/reward potential

  • Commercial experience with proficiency in economics, marketing practices and contracting

  • Understanding of oil and natural gas gathering, processing, transportation, and natural gas liquids (NGL) fractionation

For Commercial Development Rep III

  • Participates in tradeshows/exhibits to promote Williams brand and services

  • Supports closure of all new opportunities with existing customers

  • Interprets and facilitates implementation of agreements and amendments

  • Assists in the Completion of complex natural gas gathering, processing, transportation, natural gas liquids (NGL) fractionation, and other regulated pipeline commercial negotiations to expand existing accounts and our asset footprint

  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Years of Experience:

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, finance, economics or relevant field and minimum seven (7) years’ energy industry experience

  • Preferred: MBA
