The Sr Manager Acquisition drives expansion of Target.com catalog by growing the matrix of sellers on Target Plus through effective Channel Program Partnerships and Competitive Intelligence. The leader works closely with Target Plus CFT’s across Category Management, Onboarding, Operations, Site Experience, and Item to ensure all partners added meet or exceed expectations of what it means to be a Partner selling goods on Target Plus. The leader ensures team works hand in hand with enterprise teams such as Legal, Vendor Risk Management to support Business Partnerships and Negotiations, Responsible Sourcing, Training and are competitive within the evolving landscape of online marketplaces.
As Sr Manager, Partner Acquisition you will manage a team of process and operations experts who review new partner leads and help them onboard on Target.com. Your team mission will be to lead and drive New Partner Research, Insights and Process Excellence initiatives to strengthen T+ New Partner Sourcing strategy, BU (Business Unit) collaborations and Data Automations:
You will work closely locally and globally across our Digital team. You will report to the Director, Merchandising – Target Plus.
A typical day at work would involve:
Team – Lead a team of 6-10 analysts and process specialists in line with Target culture cornerstones, foster cross functional collaborations and timely coaching moments.
Sourcing Strategy - Grow partner base with great eye for detail to formulate and complete effective lead generation activities and tactics - Channel Program Partnerships, Competitive Intelligence, Market Research, and recommendations.
Business Insights & Reporting – Strategize and oversee new partner sourcing strategy dashboards, Salesforce reporting and top selling assortment from competitors.
Product and Technology Partnerships: Lead global technology initiatives with Product partners to enable process and system efficiencies and improve operations. Spearhead's new product launches, look at avenues for system improvements based on continuous user feedback. Focus on automation to enhance current processes.
Process Excellence: Establishing global process alignment, governance, and conformation. Identify avenues to drive efficiency, improve assortment health, reduce lead time and cost. Building and vetting best methods and creating business continuity plans for critical processes.
About You: Four-year degree, B.S. and/or B.A.
10 - 12 years of work experience, with a minimum of 3 years leading teams
You have demonstrated strong expertise in one or more of these areas: Partner management, Operations, Merchandise Planning/Operations, Buying, Digital Operations, Project/Process Management
You’re an experience Team leader, exceptional communicator with strong organizational skills
You consistently display data, analytical and critical thinking skills
You’re an able negotiator, influencer and collaborator within and outside of your core team
You are a pro at project management and can efficiently cross-collaborate and drive innovation
You love data and insights along with drive to improvise operations and guest satisfaction
You understand and lean on product management and technology to drive efficiencies, automation and elevate business outcomes
