We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled data engineer to join our cross-functional advanced analytics team. Our team operates in a swift-moving environment and we focus on delivering value to our business stakeholders through a combination of data engineering, machine learning, data analytics, and business intelligence. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our data infrastructure and pipelines. The role requires deep experience in Snowflake and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) including BigQuery. You will be a crucial role insuring the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our data flows.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Data Infrastructure & Architecture

  • Design, Develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support advanced analytics and business intelligence needs.
  • Architect and implement data solutions using Snowflake, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery.
  • Ensure data architecture aligns with industry best practices and organizational goals.

Data Integration & Management

  • Integrate data from various sources, ensuring data quality, consistency, and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes to facilitate data movement and transformation.
  • Implement data governance and security measure to protect sensitive information.

Collaboration & Support

  • Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, business intelligence developers, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver optimal solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior data engineers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues promptly and effectively.

Professional Development

  • Stay current with the latest trends and advancements in data engineering and cloud technologies.
  • Evaluate and integrate new tools and technologies to enhance data infrastructure and data management capabilities.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to advance technical skills.

Education: 

Bachelors degree or equivalent  experience - Required

Other Certification(s):  - Preferred

Required Qualifications and Functions: 

  • 3+ years extensive experience with Snowflake, GCP, and BigQuery
  • 5+ years of experience with

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Scala, and SQL.

Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data modeling.

Experience with cloud-based data integration and orchestration tools.

Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a senior data engineering role with a focus on cloud-based platforms.
  • Experience mentoring or training junior data engineers and providing guidance on best practices.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$66,330.00 - $145,860.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
