Do work that matters:

Financial Services partner with all areas of CommBank to provide specialist advice on financial management and strategy. This advice covers Finance, Audit, Treasury, Investor Relations, Security, General Procurement and Property. Group Treasury is responsible for managing the banks’ balance sheet which includes the Groups funding and liquidity management, capital forecasting and execution, and asset and liability management.

The Treasury Controls office - Operational Risk supports the Treasury business in the alignment of our business activities, management of risks to safe guard the bank’s assets to meet regulatory requirements and to protect our customers and people.

More specifically you will:

You will leverage your detailed knowledge of Treasury products, processes and environment to coach & advise the Business on effective application of the Operational & Compliance Risk Management Framework

  • Contribute to and undertake the design and implementation of controls

  • Responsible for capturing risks in the Risk Profile (RCSA)

  • Lead activity to undertake root cause analysis of issues and incidents, identifying and implementing control improvements

  • Support the effective design of controls for all new and changing processes and operations

  • Responsible for data quality in/maintain various databases (including RiskInSite) and undertake monthly management reporting

  • Lead activities to undertake Control Assurance Program (CAP) testing, including the development of test scripts

  • Support the delivery of the risk management committee governance and reporting

  • Contribute to the administration of governance forums, including minuting and action management

  • Identify areas for continuous improvement of the business control environment by using data to generate insights

  • Input to the reporting on Operational Risk and control profiles, issues, incidents and other matters

  • Liaise with the business & key stakeholders

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

  • Sound understanding of risk management systems and processes

  • Common sense, practical application

  • Critical thinking

  • Understanding of the Group definition of Control

  • Experience with Treasury products including FX, Interest rate derivatives and securitization highly desirable
