Job Description Summary

Perform industrial tasks in a factory environment to process and consolidate unique metal powders (powder metallurgy) and manufacture components used in medical imaging systems such as molecular imaging (MI) and computed tomography (CT) systems.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Accurately identify, measure, blend, sieve, and package powders and liquids according to established formulas, specifications, and instructions.

  • Efficiently set up and operate industrial equipment—such as blenders, reduction furnaces, and hydraulic compaction presses—to process powders in accordance with established procedures.

  • Inspect components for compliance with required specifications including weight, material composition and tracking, and component appearance.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety‑focused work area in alignment with EHS rules and policies and 5S principles.

  • Adhere to all workplace rules, procedural instructions, and established safety protocols.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and comprehend both verbal and written instructions spoken/written in English.

  • Demonstrated competency in accurately performing mathematical operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, as well as calculating averages and percentages, using both decimal and fractional values.

  • Demonstrated ability to use measuring tools including vernier calipers, micrometers, linear scales (rulers), and weight scales.

  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and machine prints, including surface finish specifications, dimensional features (radius, diameter, thickness, angles), datum feature identification, geometric tolerancing interpretation, and comprehension of engineering notes and standardized drafting abbreviations.
