Position Description:

Delta Dental of Michigan is seeking a Total Rewards Intern to support the Total Rewards team. This role offers hands-on experience across a variety of Total Rewards functions, with a primary focus on leave administration. 

Responsibilities:

  • Support the administration of leave programs (including Medical Leaves of Absence, Family and Medical Leave Act, Military Family Leave Act, Americans with Disabilities Act Amendment Act, Workers’ Compensation, Work Accommodations, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability).  

  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding leave policies and procedures.

  • Create and maintain accurate leave records in HRIS and timekeeping systems.

  • Assist with additional Total Rewards duties.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with an HRIS system is preferred.
