Position: Inventory Coordinator

Location: Jefferson City, MO

About the Role: As an Inventory Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing our inventory system’s integrity and accuracy. Your responsibilities will include handling changes due to scrap, substitutions, or ICNs (Change Notices) and ensuring all updates are accurately reflected in SAP. You’ll work closely with supply chain, engineering, and cycle counters to maintain precise inventory and demand forecasts. Additionally, you’ll help implement new inventory controls and processes to enhance our plant’s inventory accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate change management with cross-functional groups to ensure all ICNs are updated in SAP and communicated to stakeholders.

  • Process internal inventory documents to maintain accuracy due to scrap tags or substitutions from the production floor.

  • Review inventory reports to reconcile errors, conduct root cause analysis, and implement countermeasures to prevent future errors.

  • Lead discussions with cross-functional teams to share cycle count information and drive engagement and actions.

  • Strive for continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost, and customer satisfaction by recommending and implementing new technologies and measures.

  • Participate in kaizen and drive continuous improvement throughout the factory.

  • Conduct and participate in safety observation tours and audits, adhering to local safety directives and policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory management.

  • Strong critical thinking and Excel skills.

  • Experience with SAP.

  • Must have work authorization to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
