As the leader of the Innovation team in the Compute and Networking Business Unit (CNBU), this pivotal role involves guiding a team of top-tier technology and business authorities. Your mission: to drive the Innovation Strategy within CNBU, with a laser focus on developing the next generation of memory solutions for Datacenter and AI architectures. Collaborating closely with internal partners in Technology Development and Corporate Strategy, as well as external partners, customers, vendors, and research institutes, you will solve the intricate technical challenges and seize the opportunities in this dynamic field. This position demands influential executive presence, as you shape company strategy and influence industry and customer trajectories.
Key Responsibilities:
Developing Innovative Memory Solutions:
Craft an Innovation Strategy: Understand inflections in the compute industry, develop and implement a forward-thinking strategy for CNBU. Drive new technology developments, develop innovative memory architectures for Datacenter and AI.
Collaborate Across Domains: Engage with internal team members and external partners to address complex technical challenges and seize growth opportunities.
Architect the Future: Use your expertise across domains such as logic and memory design, system architecture, Si and packaging technology to develop differentiated memory concepts

Key Qualifications:
A master’s degree or Ph.D. in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field is highly valued. BSEE required. Advanced education demonstrates a deep understanding of AI concepts and algorithms.
10+ years technical experience in the semiconductor industry in hardware architecture covering areas such as GPU, CPU, ASIC design, chiplet architectures, advanced packaging, datacenter architectures, power and thermal management in datacenters with a strong understanding of system interaction across hardware and software stacks. Candidate should show increasing responsibility/scope over time.
5+ years DRAM-related experience in a design, product engineering, quality, hardware architect, or business capacity.
Familiarity with memory hardware architectures and their impact on AI performance. Understanding of near memory solutions, such as 3D stacking, chiplet, and interposer, and their impact on system performance, power, area, cost, and reliability.
A deep understanding of data center systems architecture by way of designing solutions in this space.
Creative thinking to devise efficient pathfinding solutions considering memory constraints. Demonstrated success in delivering technology innovation via past results such as patents, leading industry initiatives, new product concepts, establishing new revenue streams
Ability to analyze complex problems related to memory and AI performance.
Teamwork skills to collaborate with hardware engineers, system architects, and software developers
The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$192,000.00 - $360,000.00Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
