Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr. Project Engineer to join our team at GE Vernova Grid Solutions. The ideal candidate will drive business strategy through detailed technical and economic understanding of the marketplace and take the initiative to drive business leaders to provide customers with the best solutions that positively impact business. The Sr. Project Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing systems for our Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS), ensuring optimal performance and reliability. The Sr. Engineer will also serve as technical mentor resolving conflicts and certifying finished engineering products as proper and correct.

- Lead a team in performing RCA's (root cause analysis) and execute corrective actions
- Drive culture of quality by supporting project quality procedures and initiatives including aspects of ISO9001
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in engineering.
- Strong knowledge of substation design, power systems, and experience using IEEE, IEC, ANSI, NEC, and NESC standards and codes.
- Proficiency in software tools such as Word, Excel, Windchill Imagine, Tableau, ATP and Python.
- Experience with control systems, equipment schematics, installation, field-testing and commissioning of HV equipment, including required safe work habits
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically and strategically.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing engineering projects.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
