Summary
Responsible for planning and overseeing technical initiatives to ensure completion in a timely manner and within budget. Responsible for organizing and controlling resources and processes to achieve technical project/program objectives within scope, time, quality and budget constraints. Advises on scope changes, quality assurance and other technical aspects of the project, requiring advanced knowledge within the specific area. Provides technical organizational leadership in area(s) of specialization in order to meet business needs in compliance with strategic priorities. Offers direction and oversight to project managers in the execution of projects and provides guidance on technical issues.

Job Duties

  • Identifies complex business problems and environment, objectives, and aligns with organizational strategies.
  • Establishes project goals and develops plans to meet those goals.
  • Maintains project timeframes, budgeting estimates and expected status reports.
  • Manages specifications, designs, constructions, and updates of efficient project work plans for projects of all complexities.
  • Develops project management methodologies to track project performance, schedule adherence and perform risk assessment.
  • Functions as a coach and mentor to team members to achieve workflow standardization and design across the organization.
  • Implements strategies that deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Builds and maintains positive relationships with stakeholders and project resources.
  • Leads meetings to discuss project goals and progress to minimize scope deviation.
  • Monitors progress of daily tasks assigned to technology project teams.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in information Sciences and Technology
  • High School Diploma/GED and preferred work experience.
  • 7 years progressive experience in information technology, healthcare or business project management related fields.
  • Attention to detail and ability to analyze and solve problems and interpret data.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a team environment and to be self-motivated and self-disciplined.
  • Knowledge of processes of assigned area(s), applications and technologies.
  • Effectively deal with multiple and changing priorities.
  • Ability to complete projects with minimal supervision and/or direction.
  • Strong research and strategic analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of various project management techniques to keep teams aligned and focused on milestone level task reporting.
  • Team leadership, mentoring and skill development.


Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
