Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly strategic and commercially-minded Senior Manager to lead and grow AirAsia's pre-book duty-free e-commerce business. This pivotal role is responsible for driving revenue and enhancing the end-to-end customer experience on the MOVE Duty-Free platform. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of e-commerce, travel retail, and digital marketing and cross-functional leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Strategy & Revenue Management:

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy to achieve aggressive revenue and profitability targets for the pre-book duty-free business.

    • Drive commercial objectives - including revenue forecasting, budget allocation, and cost optimization.

    • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new business opportunities, emerging trends, and customer needs.

  • Commercial & Marketing Execution:

    • Oversee the development and execution of digital marketing campaigns, promotions, and sales initiatives to drive traffic and conversion.

    • Partner with the Digital team to optimize the e-commerce platform's user experience (UX), checkout flow, and personalization features.

    • Develop and implement pricing strategies, upselling tactics, and loyalty programs to maximize revenue per passenger.

  • Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management:

    • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team to achieve business objectives.

    • Act as a key liaison and build strong relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g., Marketing, Tech, Finance, Operations) and external partners (e.g., brands, suppliers, retailers).

    • Present business performance, insights, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in e-commerce, retail, or a related commercial function, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role.

  • Proven track record of managing revenue and delivering significant business growth.

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, e-commerce platforms, and data analytics.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and lead cross-functional teams.

  • Experience in the travel, airline, or duty-free retail industry is highly desirable
