As an Enterprise Architect, you will play a pivotal role in driving architectural standards across the enterprise. You will be responsible for defining blueprints, reference architecture, and principles that align with organizational goals, focusing on scalability, security, and efficiency. Additionally, you will lead the integration of emerging technologies, including quantum computing, to address complex challenges and enhance enterprise security frameworks.

What to expect

In this role you will:

Enterprise Architecture Enablement:

  • Define and maintain architectural blueprints, reference architectures, and principles that guide secure solution design and implementation across various business domains.
  • Develop a security-first approach to architecture, ensuring alignment with best practices in encryption, identity management, access control, and compliance standards.
  • Integrate quantum computing concepts where appropriate, exploring opportunities to solve high-complexity computational challenges.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to assess current architecture, identify areas for improvement, and develop scalable and secure roadmaps for transformation.
  • Drive the adoption of architectural standards, promoting consistency, coherence, and enhanced security across the enterprise.

Security Architecture:

  • Ensure that enterprise architectures meet stringent security requirements, proactively addressing current and future threats, including quantum-resistant encryption.
  • Collaborate with security teams to design and implement robust
  • architectures that align with industry regulations and compliance frameworks.
  • Monitor and assess security vulnerabilities and emerging threats, recommending architectural adjustments as needed.
  • Implement advanced security technologies such as zero-trust architectures, secure access service edge (SASE), and post-quantum cryptography.

Quantum Computing Integration:

  • Evaluate and explore the potential of quantum computing within the enterprise, particularly for optimizing encryption, system performance, and solving complex computational problems.
  • Lead the integration of quantum-safe solutions into the architecture to ensure long-term security resilience as quantum technology evolves.
  • Stay informed on the latest advancements in quantum computing and assess their implications for enterprise architecture and security.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among architects, security professionals, and stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicate complex architectural concepts, including security strategies and quantum computing approaches, to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, offering insights and recommendations on architecture decisions, security investments, and quantum technology initiatives.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, and quantum computing.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and optimization in both traditional and quantum security frameworks, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of agility and adaptability, encouraging experimentation and a proactive approach to security challenges.

What will make you successful?

 We are seeking professionals with:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
  • 10 + years of experience
    • Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect or similar role in a large-scale enterprise environment.
    • Expertise in defining architectural blueprints, reference architectures, and principles, with a strong focus on security and scalability.
    • Deep understanding of enterprise security architectures, including encryption, access control, and identity management.
    • Experience with quantum computing concepts and their implications for enterprise security.
    • Familiarity with cryptography, including quantum-resistant encryption and secure communication protocols.
    • Proficiency in enterprise architecture frameworks and security best practices.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.
    • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving business outcomes through secure, innovative technology solutions.

  • Master’s degree

The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position in Virginia is $113,330.00 USD Annual MINIMUM to $210,470.00 USD Annual MAXIMUM. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Our compensation packages include a competitive base salary and bonus opportunity for all employee’s contingent on personal and company performance.
