Midtown is looking for a KidTown Supervisor to join our world-class childcare team.
Pay: $22.50 - $26.00 an hour
The Position
As an integral part of the management team, our KidTown Supervisors inspire members through movement, community, and personal attention. They encourage active, social, and healthier lives by:
- Supervise and mentor childcare staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure quality care and effective teamwork
- Ensure appropriate staffing, monitoring and managing open shifts
- Create and maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for children and associates
- Monitor and evaluate associates performance
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities
- Ensure all safety standards are being followed
- Collaborate with Leads and Manager to implement policies, solve issues, and improve service
- Handle parent communications and concerns, maintaining a positive relationship with families and providing feedback and updates
- Partner with manager to plan, promote, and implement all kids programs
- Assist in registration for all registered kids programming
- Maintain confidentiality among co-workers
Our KidTown Supervisors:
- Possess at least two years of supervisory experience in a child care environment with relevant youth programming experience
- Genuinely care about providing quality and safe youth experiences
- Demonstrate the ability to motivate others to work independently and as a team
- Communicate effectively with both children and adults
- Exhibit strong customer service skills through a genuine desire to serve others
- Possess outstanding communication skills and solid organizational abilities
- Demonstrate a positive attitude that inspires children
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds
- Ability to work in a highly demanding, stressful environment
- Ability to tolerate a moderate to high noise level at times
Required Certificates:
- CPR/AED Certification or obtain upon hire
