The Opportunity
This position works out of our Abbott Thailand location in the Abbott Established Pharmaceuticals. As the Product Specialist, you’ll have for maximizing patient access, medical impact, and long‑term value of an originator biologic. Role requires engaging with healthcare professionals in a compliant, value‑adding manner to drive brand understanding and preference.
What You’ll Work On
Execute integrated commercial plans: Strong execution mindset with focus on commercial outcomes; ensure excellence in sales force readiness, including messaging prioritization, objection handling, and competitive defense; Drive speed of uptake across key segments and accounts. Build long‑term partnerships with specialist physicians, multidisciplinary teams, and treatment centers; Prioritize effort based on account potential, patient flow, and access readiness.
Portfolio Access Management: Partner with Market Access to remove barriers to uptake, accelerate reimbursement, and optimize account-level access; Understand local reimbursement frameworks, early access programs, and institutional decision‑making; Support pull‑through by ensuring clear articulation of product value aligned to access requirements; Flag real‑world access barriers quickly to Market Access and Commercial leadership.
Competitive Intelligence and Market Assessment: Continuously assess market dynamics, competitive landscape, and customer needs to inform strategic choices and tactical adjustments e.g referral behavior, diagnostic practices, competitive threats, evolving treatment paradigms etc.
Interpret and Translate Clinical Data: Strong ability to interpret clinical trial results, real‑world evidence, and health outcomes data to support brand positioning and messaging. Understand and explain mechanism of action (MoA); Interpret Phase II/III clinical trial data; Discuss efficacy, safety, endpoints, and patient selection; Confidence handling complex clinical questions and objections; Ability to translate data into clinically meaningful insights.
Budget and Performance Management: Track KPIs such as sales, market share, penetration and effectiveness; optimize allocations based on performance metrics and business impact.
Ethical, Compliant, Patient-Centric Execution: Balance commercial ambition with ethical responsibility, recognizing vulnerability of patient populations
