The Global Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) function is a division of circa 55 professionals within Balance Sheet Management in Corporate Treasury and is part of Citigroup’s broader Finance organization. FTP’s specific responsibilities cover the following:

  • Establishes and oversees the policies under which business assets and liabilities are transfer priced based on interest rates and liquidity values;
  • Executes firm-wide transfer pricing processes; and
  • Ensures retained costs and balance sheet in Treasury are minimal through an effective attribution process
  • Designs and implements the methodologies for attributing capital usage to businesses.

The Head of Interest Rate Transfer Pricing (ITP) is a Director responsible for leading a team to develop, enhance, and monitor the ITP Frameworks including methodology development, governance and oversight, implementation of controls and management of residual business risk and retained Treasury P&L.

The Head of ITP exhibits in-depth understanding of bank balance sheet management and optimization with a particular focus on Asset & Liability Management. Requires thorough understanding of strategic direction of the function within the relevant part of the business, combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in both the function and area of interest rate risk management. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level.  The role is responsible for executing functional strategy in ITP. Determines approach to implementing functional strategy. Impact reflects influence on the business and interaction with other functions e.g., IRRBB management, Finance, Risk & Technology.  This C15 role will report directly to the Head of FTP and function as an integral member of the functional leadership team.

Responsibilities:

  • Review, evaluate, improve & implement Interest Rate Transfer Pricing Policies & practices globally across all lines of business including controls & monitoring with proactive escalation to senior mgmt. as appropriate
  • Prepare, support & present to senor management recurring & ad hoc analysis & presentation materials related to ITP policies, implementation & monitoring
  • Manage interaction globally across functions & serves as a senior point of contact for Interest Rate Risk transfer pricing at FTP Committee & Working Groups which oversees FTP governance & methodology development
  • Lead key ITP transitions and strategic efforts to enhance ITP Framework & systems in line with the Firm’s strategy
  • Oversee ongoing transfer pricing execution for interest rate transfer pricing (ITP) in partnership with FTP Execution teams & Operations as appropriate
  • Act as a key member of the FTP leadership team ensuring strategic platforms are built in the most efficient, controlled and flexible way to carry out the FTP platform
  • Responsible executive for monitoring ITP policy, controls & implementation in partnership with FTP execution team & Treasury FTP Operations teams.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years experience in Financial Services, Treasury, and/or ALM with 5+ years of managerial experience required
  • Extensive experience in Funds Transfer Pricing policies & execution and Asset Liability Management
  • Experience in managing complex end-to-end processes
  • Proven ability to lead and direct teams both direct & indirect management lines
  • Demonstrated ability to collaboratively solution complex and dynamic processes
  • Proven ability to work under pressure in ambiguous environments
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills; Previous experience interacting and working with Executive Leaders
  • Experience leading projects of significant change covering strategy, operations, process ranging from operational change management to business-wide transformation
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency, passion for results and personal accountability for achievement

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$170,000.00 - $300,000.00
