Job Responsibilities:
Job Title Project ManagerPlatoon is launching a new state-of-the-art recording and creative studio in Cape Town, opening mid-2026. Located in the V&A Waterfront, the space will support Platoon’s artists from South Africa, across the continent, and globally—bringing together recording studios, creative workspaces, and a rooftop venue for events. We’re looking for a Studio & Artist Experience Coordinator to take ownership of the space and shape the day-to-day experience within it.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
• You’ll sit at the centre of the studio—part operator, part host, part event producer—ensuring everything runs seamlessly while creating an environment where artists can do their best work.
• Run the day-to-day operations of the studio, including bookings, scheduling, and session logistics
• Welcome and host artists, collaborators, and guests, creating a warm and inspiring atmosphere
• Act as the primary on-site point of contact for all studio activity
• Work with internal teams and external partners to bring creative ideas to life • Coordinate the logistics of writing camps, live sessions, filmed content, and artist moments in the space
• Manage vendors and production support (e.g. equipment hire, crews, catering)
• Support the delivery of events and community moments in the studio and rooftop space
• Ensure the space is consistently maintained to a high standard in collaboration with facilities WHAT YOU BRING
• 3–5 years’ experience in a studio, creative, events, or project coordination role
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple moving parts
• A calm, solutions-focused approach in fast-paced environments
• Experience working with artists within the music industry
• Excellent communication and a natural ability to build rapport
• A high level of attention to detail and ownership
Bonus if you have:
• An understanding of recording studio environments
• Event production experience WORKING PATTERN
• Typically Monday to Friday, daytime through early evening
• Occasional flexibility required for events or special projects
