The opportunity

Hitachi Energy Transformer Business Unit in Greater China operates across 55 cities, employs over 1,900 staff, and manages 5 transformer manufacturing plants. More than 90% of its sales come from locally manufactured products. We offer a comprehensive portfolio of Transformers Products, Solutions and Services.  Transformers are essential in all electricity-related fields and applications, including power generation, transmission and distribution, oil, chemical and gas, industrial manufacturing, semiconductor and data centers, as well as building and transportation sectors.

How you’ll make an impact

• You will run, within the dielectrics field, feasibility studies, propose and develop new technical concepts, design new products, and simulate their expected performance.

• You will organize prototyping and testing activities to validate new technologies/products.

• You will provide technical support to factories in different stages of customer project execution such as design clarification and simulation as well as dielectric and pd failure investigations.

• You will be supporting global collaboration with scientists of Hitachi energy research team and technology centers, technology managers and engineers from the various factories.

• You will lead the collaboration with universities and research institutes and be the key member to solve partial discharge issues.

• You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

• You hold a bachelor's degree.

• You have a background in dielectrics, electrical engineering and/or electrotechnology. PhD, or hold an MSc combined with work-life experience.

• You have sound analytical skills, including simulation tools and have preferably have experience in designing and conducting experiments.

• You are a team player who enjoys collaborating with others to achieve great results.

• Preferably you also have experience in, or ability to develop, project management and technical leadership skills.

• You have good communication skills and are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
