In-Seat Server

In-Seat Servers provide personalized, seat-side food and beverage service to guests in premium seating areas. They take and confirm orders using point-of-sale technology, deliver items promptly and accurately, and process electronic payments in accordance with Legends’ service standards. In-Seat Servers maintain a professional and polished demeanor, ensure compliance with responsible alcohol service and food safety policies, and create an exceptional guest experience through attentive, efficient, and courteous service.

Compensation

The Role

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Greet guests in assigned seating sections and provide menus or answer questions about offerings
  • Take food and beverage orders using handheld POS devices and relay orders to kitchen and bar
  • Deliver orders promptly and accurately, ensuring proper presentation and temperature
  • Process electronic payments and provide receipts
  • Check guest identification when serving alcoholic beverages and follow responsible service policies
  • Monitor guest needs throughout the event and offer refills or additional items
  • Communicate special requests or dietary restrictions to culinary staff
  • Maintain cleanliness of service areas and aisles and remove empty containers or waste
  • Collaborate with runners and other servers to ensure efficient service
  • Handle guest concerns professionally and communicate issues to supervisors as needed

Skills & Abilities

  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to balance multiple orders and prioritize tasks
  • Proficiency with handheld POS systems
  • Knowledge of responsible alcohol service
  • Physical stamina to walk up and down stairs carrying trays
  • Attention to detail and ability to anticipate guest needs

Knowledge, Education, & Experience

  • Experience as a server in a restaurant, club, or event venue
  • Smart Serve certification required
  • Food handler certification preferred
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Demands

  • Prolonged standing and walking throughout shift, often on concrete or stairs
  • Frequent carrying and lifting of trays, beverages, and food items up to 25–40 pounds
  • Ability to balance and maneuver while serving in crowded or confined spaces
  • Frequent reaching, bending, and stooping
  • Ability to communicate clearly with guests in a noisy environment
