In the EMEA payroll team, we are responsible for the salaries of our colleagues from 40 countries in EMEA. We serve approximately 6,000 employees in, among others, Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Israel, Poland, Sweden, South Africa, Turkey, the UK and the Middle East countries. The primary mission of our department is to ensure that all employees of the EMEA Rockwell region receive correct and timely remuneration in accordance with applicable legal regulations and company policy.

We are looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist. Our team includes committed and passionate people who are responsible for EMEA countries (some of them in the country's native language), specialize in project management, implementing improvements in the team and analytical work with EXCEL.

Responsibilities:

  • Data Management: Collect, maintain, and consolidate payroll data with precision and punctuality. Ensure completeness and accuracy of all records.

  • Vendor Coordination: Liaise with external payroll vendors to deliver and control payroll data. Ensure outputs meet company standards. Work closely with external payroll vendors to ensure seamless delivery of payroll services to employees.

  • Payroll Execution: Perform and oversee payroll services, guaranteeing timeliness, accuracy, and adherence to compliance standards.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and verify necessary documentation, declarations, and reports for various authorities and institutions.

  • Client Support: Address and resolve internal clients’ inquiries regarding payroll matters efficiently.

  • System Integration: Manage and ensure data integrity across various systems including GPMS, WorkDay, SAP, ADP.

  • Data Verification: Verify and control the correctness of payroll data and calculations, implementing changes when needed.

  • Cooperation: Engage in daily collaboration with HR and Finance Departments to align payroll processes.

  • Issue Resolution: Proactively address and resolve issues related to outsourced payroll services.

  • Compliance Monitoring: Keep track of deadlines and maintain payroll processes in line with work regulations, labor law, internal audit process and procedures.

  • Teamwork: Build and maintain strong working relationships within the payroll team and across departments.

  • Project Participation: Engage in payroll-related projects, contributing to their success.

  • Leadership: Act as a role model within the team, providing guidance and support to less experienced colleagues. Assist the Team Lead / Manager with daily tasks and operational challenges.

  • Process Oversight: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of regional processes.

Required qualifications:

  • Educational Excellence: master’s degree in finance or related field.

  • Payroll Pro: Previous payroll experience, with shared services experience as a bonus.

  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel

  • Language Proficiency: Advanced level of English (B1/B2) and another European language (Czech, German, Danish, Dutch, French).

  • Detail-Oriented: Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail

  • Team Player: Ability to excel under pressure and work harmoniously in a team

  • Adaptability: A flexible mindset that embraces change.
