Purpose of the role:
The LATAM REGIONAL MARKETING DIRECTOR POULTRY is part of the Global Poultry Marketing Unit and reports to the Global Poultry Lead. Foremost this unit sets the strategic direction for the Poultry Business Worldwide and must also ensure alignment with this strategy with all functions within the organization. The unit is also responsible for a regional deployment of Global campaigns and projects as well as keeping in the contact with a regional KOLs. This position shall be based within the region of LATAM.
Will give assistance to local Poultry operations in deployment of Global Marketing campaigns as well as ensuring the alignment and development of the Poultry business within the region. The position is also the primary contact for local Poultry operations to global marketing team.
Primarily responsibilities:
· In assistance of the implementation of Global marketing plans (known as mPlans) into the region for the strengthening of the strategic positioning of global brands
· Coordination and successful regional implementation of the global deployment campaigns connected with launches of new products, key brands or solutions
· Involve and generate input for the strategic direction of Poultry portfolio for the next 5-10 years.
· Involve in the strategic long-visionary thinking of Poultry business offerings by Animal health
· Assist Global technical service director in the regional Life Cycle Management needs and their coordination within the region
· Assist Global marketing Directors in portfolio management across regional Poultry portfolio assets. Including analysis of gross-margins optimization, supply improvements, rationalization, diversification
· Identifying marketing training needs and get involved in a development of those programs
· Foster regular and efficient communication and engagement with commercial operations of the region by having regular visits and organizing the regular regional business meetings
· Assist Regional VP and country operations (sales, marketing and technical) to maximize the results. This involves: development and implementation of the Regional Business and Marketing Plan, aligned with the Global Strategic Poultry Business plan, with the participation of key country colleagues and ensuring periodic monitoring reports.
· Cross-pollinate and capitalize on the best practices within the region and even including the global view.
· Assist by a coordination of all relevant regional Poultry initiatives, like events, meetings and congresses, involving regional VPs, countries teams and support departments (meetings, compliance, RA, etc), being responsible to control the respective project budget.
· Foster involvement, information flow and participation of the regional commercial operations, in the Global Poultry Business initiatives
· Maintain regular feedback and clear communication with other stakeholders (Global Marketing and Technical directors and Support functions).
Education:
· Post-Graduate degree
· Marketing degree
Required Experience & Skills:
· 8+ Years of relevant Poultry industry experience in LATAM, with Poultry production system related technical background.
· Advanced analytical skills and the ability to work with different sources of information.
· Advanced verbal and written communication skills, including intercultural, interpersonal and general communication with a natural ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
· Ability to create, nurture, and drive a collaborative team environment.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, namely Excel and PowerPoint.
· Proficient in English, verbal and written skills.
· Strong financial and business acumen background.
· Advanced organizational and time management skills.
· Availability to travel (approx. 80% travel time can be expected).
Preferred Experience and Skills:
· Project management
· Other languages are desirable.
