Job Summary

Mass General Brigham International Patient Services represents the systemwide platform to provide cutting-edge clinical care to patients from around the world. This business combines a broad existing set of capabilities from the academic medical centers and specialty hospitals within the MGB system with a significant investment program to take the business to the next level. The Business Analyst II:

Reports to the Director, Business Analytics and is primarily responsible for analyzing international patient data, creating reports and analyses that answer business questions for internal stakeholders

Translates complex healthcare data into clear visualizations that reveal trends, and communicates these insights internally to inform growth strategies and tactics

Owns execution of ad-hoc data requests

Supports with international patient data architecture, hygiene, maintenance, and enhancements

Serves as subject-matter expert on internal database systems



Principal Duties and Responsibilities

As a key member of the Finance and Business Operations team, the Business Analyst II will be exposed to a wide variety of unique business questions from internal stakeholders, and will analyze international patient data to generate evidence-backed answers to key business questions

Overall responsibilities and day-to-day duties:

Develops high-quality client-facing presentations, condensing complex patient data trends into digestible, succinct slides

Supports the creation, maintenance, and reporting of patient volume and financial dashboards

Supports international patient data architecture including data hygiene, definitions, enhancements, crosswalks, workflows, and automations

Owns execution of ad-hoc analysis including data requests, financial modeling, and more

Connects patient data trends with overarching department strategy

Quickly consumes internal patient data and external market data, understands implications for MGB International Patient services

Collaborates and coordinates with cross-functional MGB internal stakeholders to contribute to, and in some cases, manage projects end-to-end through execution.

Uses Artificial Intelligence tools to streamline data workflows, optimize reporting processes, increase efficiency, and automate repetitive tasks where appropriate


 

Qualifications

Education
Bachelor's Degree Finance required or Bachelor's Degree Business Administration required or Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required

Licenses and Credentials

Experience
Healthcare, financial, or business analysis experience 2-3 years required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency in financial analysis tools and software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Familiarity with project management.
- Skilled in Excel, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and related systems.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills both written and oral.
