Job Description

Paid Engineer Internship

We are currently seeking students in either their Junior or Senior year who are majoring in Mechanical, Electrical or Environmental Engineering to join our team and work on various projects in our shingle manufacturing plant located in Hagerstown, Maryland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the implementation of 5S Lean Manufacturing systems into the manufacturing plant environment
  • Monitor critical environmental data
  • Gather data from various data tracking systems
  • Conduct plant walk-throughs daily for the identification of any safety or environmental concerns
  • Evaluate workplace ergonomics
  • Facilitate the creation of a visual workplace for the manufacturing floor
  • Conduction vibration testing and analysis
  • Create drawings in Auto-Cad
  • Assist in the transitioning of data from the existing Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) from MP2 to Maximo
  • Assist with inventory and parts management
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications:

  • Must be a current Junior or Senior enrolled in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Environmental Engineer degree programs. 
  • Auto-CAD proficiency preferred
  • Must be able to stand and walk frequently
  • Must be comfortable working at heights occasionally
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs unassisted
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency required (Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel)
