Candidates should be versatile, eager and able to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive financial and technical environment. Our interns will have the flexibility of working 2 days remotely, and 3 days in office per week at one of our state-of-the-art offices in Chicago, Kansas City, and New York City. To be eligible for this internship, applicants must be enrolled in a university or college program and should not be scheduled to graduate before December of the year in which the internship takes place. The Market Data & Access Services team is hiring for a Market Data & Access Services intern:

The Market Data & Access Services business is positioned within the Data & Access Solutions (DnA) Division and is responsible for product, pricing, policy, and business operations across our markets globally. This includes access to the Cboe Exchanges and distribution of Cboe Data across multiple asset classes – including Equities, Options, Futures, FX, and Indices. We are a global team supporting a wide spectrum of global clients, with a focus on data and connectivity product development, functionality enhancements, policy changes, and continuous pricing evaluation. While this position will be focused on North America, there will be opportunities to work on behalf of the global business as needed.

Your responsibilities and learning objectives will be:

  • Assist with various projects and product initiatives that impact multiple areas of the business.
  • Assist with market research and analysis.
  • Research and maintain competitive data and connectivity product summaries including descriptions, pricing, customer targets, etc.
  • Contribute to financial forecasting, budget process, revenue projections, and business trend analysis.
  • Develop complex pricing models to include multiple variable inputs and outputs to fully assess business impact of various changes.
  • Review and assist in the process of drafting commercial contracts, policies, and legal filings in coordination with the legal team.
  • Document requirements, meeting notes, agendas, and action items for various stakeholders – both internally and externally as needed.
  • Support the Operational Team as needed through assisting in customer onboarding, customer inquiries, and helping to drive operational efficiencies.
  • Respond directly to customers regarding product, pricing, policy, and/or billing-related questions, requests, and/or issues.
  • Interact with a wide range of global clients and prospective customers including exchanges, data vendors, sell-side brokers, buy-side firms, market makers, proprietary traders, retail brokers, financial websites, and fintech.

The ideal candidate has:

  • Undergraduate (rising junior or senior) or Graduate student working towards a degree in business, economics, finance, computer science, quantitative analysis, or a related field and should not be scheduled to graduate before December of the year in which the internship takes place.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong research and analysis skills
  • Strong knowledge of Excel
  • Working knowledge of other Microsoft Office products
  • Working knowledge of Tableau, Sigma, or other Data Visualization Tools
  • Working knowledge of Python
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments

You’ll really stand out with:

  • Currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field and should not be scheduled to graduate before December of the year in which the internship takes place.
  • Expert in Business Analysis and Data Visualization through tools such as Tableau and/or Sigma

As required by the New York City Human Rights Law, Cboe provides a reasonable range of minimum base salary for roles that may be performed in New York City. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, level of experience, etc. For New York City only, the range of starting base salary for this role is $24 to $36 an hour. Additional incentive compensation and benefits may be available.
